ok, some amusing quotes from Deutchmark regarding his "Canvas Knights" project May 26, 2011:

"There is no damage model in CK as of yet"

ahhh .. so a combat flight game where you shoot but cause no damage ? .. just askin'

May 28th:

"The damage model that is in CK right now is no more then you
Would fine in MSFS 9 or 10, but we are working now to bring a
Real good damage model to CK and along with that will come
Collision detection as well."

well .. perhaps I shouldn't comment on spelling, grammar or where capitalization should be used, guess it's just DM's style .. however ..

MSFS 9 & 10 don't have much in the way of damage model because they are not combat flight sims

No collision detection ? WTF ?

While is not genuine WWI aircraft, the WWI-SAS_V2 package is a fun setup with great game play value, and certainly give you the feel of what WWI aircraft in the IL-2 1946 engine will be .. check it out !

Big News! November 3, 2010

It appears Deutchmark has been stringing along the IL-2 and Red Baron communities for many months now about CK being a free IL-2 mod, or even using the IL-2 engine for CK .. I am not happy and am no friend of DM ..

Currently, the talented and interested IL-2 modders that want to do WWI aircraft mods for IL-2 are accepting input at SAS mod site, and the capable talent are, behind the scenes, working on the project.

please post here at SAS and show interest !
